EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY - Also from Sewannee, EFM is a much more involved course which assists lay people in exploring their personal theology as well as developing/discovering their call to ministry. In total there are 4 academic years of completion required to obtain a certificate. The time frame follows the normal academic year, meeting once a week for two and a half hours. Out of class study can require up to five hours a week. If interested please contact the church office
INTEGRITY - Outreach, fellowship, and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered members, family, and friends. Integrity is also educational/informative for heterosexual people who have the opportunity to listen to some "real life stories". Meets once a month at various parishoner homes. Integrity at St. John's is a chapter of Integrity for the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real.
